The Best New Year’s Eve Kielbasa and Sauerkraut

Looking to spice up your New Year’s Eve tradition? We’ve got the best recipe for the classic kielbasa and sauerkraut to bring you good luck all year long.

  • 2 lbs. of Uncle Charley’s Kielbasa
  • 1 32 oz. package sauerkraut
  • 1 beer of choice
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. whole cumin seed

Preparation:

Cut Kielbasa into 3-inch pieces and line them on the bottom of the crockpot. Place sauerkraut on top. PLace sugar, beer, allspice, and cumin seed in a saucepan over medium heat and reduce until sugar was dissolved and it was slightly thickened. Pour over Kielbasa and sauerkraut. Turn crockpot on low and cook 6 hours.
